The third Benelux-Scandinavian Symposium on legal theory
The third Benelux-Scandinavian Symposium on legal theory will be held on 3–5 January 1991 at the Free University, Amsterdam. The theme of the symposium is: Coherence and conflicts concerning the law. The first day the meaning of the concepts ”coherence” and ”conflict” will be analyzed. On the second day the problems of conflict and coherence will be elaborated for a variety of systems of rules. On the last day methods of rational legal conflict solving and coherence producing will be discussed. Papers will be presented by F. Rigaux (Brussels), A. Peczenik (Lund), J. Griffith (Groningen), H. T. Klami (Uppsala) and others. The Congress Fee (including papers, social activities, lunches, two dinners) is Hfl 250, for students and junior assistants Hfl 150.
    The final program and registration forms will be available in September.
